Cancer is the fourth most common disease amongst women especially in rural areas. Keeping that in mind, GeBBS Foundation is established to provide access to better healthcare, better education and better livelihood.  Our objective is not only to spread awareness about Cervical and Breast cancer amongst women of 30 to 60 age group but also screening of women with a special focus on PAP Smear test. We provide this service through Mobile Cancer Detection Vans (Clinic on Wheels). These well-equipped vans have all the necessary facilities to carry out Screening tests. We have trained ANM and an Assistant. (both ladies) who are entitled to do the screenings. Our Mobile Cancer Detection Vans (Clinic on Wheels) visits various villages as per the schedule and conduct the Screening Camps. With the focus on women suffering from Cervical and Breast cancer, we ensure a strong government linkage:

  • 11 highly trained ASHA workers to spread the awareness program and help the women from the rural areas register for the camp
  • We have covered 8 villages in Aurangabad
  • 1000 women attended the camp
  •  950 have gone through the screening process
  • 180 have done PAP smear test, PSA test, and other check-ups.
  • 55 doctors, nurses, support staff and ASHA workers and volunteers participated and rendered their services in the camp
We continue to render our support! Visit us on http://gebbsfoundation.org/index.html
