PAP Smear test can save a life! A PAP Smear test done in every 3 years can prevent Cervical Cancer. Women in rural India have shied away from talking about the precaution of the disease or getting themselves tested. Things like fear, embarrassment and anxiety act as a barrier to go through the PAP Smear test. These are some of the factors that have increased the risk of cervical cancer amongst women in rural India. Women in rural India are not proactive and due to the lack of awareness, many acquire this life-threatening disease.
