One such success story is Gayabai’s path to recovery . Women in rural India experience a lot of healthcare issues especially in the field of Cancer. Cervical and breast cancer is the second and most common disease amongst women. As information about these diseases are limited, it is paramount to spread awareness and provide timely access to all the women in the rural areas. To take this forward and empower the women in the rural areas of the society we, at GeBBS Foundation have decided to select few districts in India and provide healthcare support by utilizing our resources and efforts.   At present our focus is on Aurangabad and Jalna district. We have currently organized a series of healthcare camps at Auranagabad with the help of our partnered hospital MGM (Mahatma Gandhi Mission hospital) and the Zilla Parishad (a local government organization on district level) of Aurangabad. Cancer is the fourth most common disease amongst women especially in rural areas. Keeping that in mind, GeBBS Foundation is established to provide access to better healthcare, better education and better livelihood.   Our objective is not only to spread awareness about Cervical and Breast cancer amongst women of 30 to 60 age group but also screening of women with a special focus on PAP Smear test. We provide this service through Mobile Cancer Detection Vans (Clinic on Wheels). These well-equipped vans have all the necessary facilities to carry out Screening tests. We have trained ANM and an Assistant. (both ladies) who are entitled to do the screenings. Our Mobile Cancer Detection Vans (Clinic on Wheels) visits various villages as per the schedule and conduct the Screening Camps.
