Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Complementary medicine is used in
addition to your standard cancer treatments. Meditation, yoga, and supplements
like vitamins and herbs are some examples which can be followed along with your
regular medication. Additionally, there are many kinds of alternative medicines
which are not been tested scientifically and may not be safe.
Do remember that complementary
and alternative medicines are health practices that are not standard cancer
treatments. It is advisable to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits
before you start any kind of complementary or alternative medicine.
