Our Action to Prevent the Infection

Covid-19 has brought uncertainty in our lives, especially for children and the senior citizens. It is all the more unsettling for the people in the rural areas. They are always at a greater risk of being the victim of the virus since they are unable to take proper safety and precautionary measures.

To fight the disease, it is very important to take preventive actions like wearing masks, washing hands with soap and water and maintaining social distancing. We, at GeBBS Foundation are continuously taking action to prevent the infection. Hence we have come up with an initiative called “Safety First” where, our volunteers are reaching out to different villages in Aurangabad and Jalna to distribute reusable face masks. This mask distribution is not only restricted to villagers, but also they are handed over to our caregivers and volunteers. At GeBBS Foundation, the safety and security of our volunteers and partners is important. In the last couple of weeks, we have successfully distributed:
  • 800 reusable face masks to Dr. Mangesh Gondawle, (IAS &CEO Zilla Parishad, Aurangabad) for our ASHA workers.
  • 3200 reusable, 40 N-95 & 100 use & throw (triple Ply) face masks to Aurangabad City & Rural police.
  • 1000 reusable face masks to the workers of the Municipal Corporation- Aurangabad.
Besides this, we at GeBBS Foundation continued with our regular Covid-19 screening, awareness and general healthcare check-up camps. Our MGM doctors along with the volunteers and nurses conducted the covid screening and general check-up camps in our well equipped mobile van. In the last few days we have organized camps in Donwada, Khamkheda, Anjandoh, Ambegaon and Nandeda villages. Recently, we had also organized a door to door covid-19 awareness campaign at DongargaonKawad and Wagalgaon villages along with Savitribai Phule MahilaEkatmSamaj Mandal and Hedgewar hospital (Aurangabad). In this way, we will continue to render our service to the society.

Together we look forward to the day you can remove COVID-19 from your thoughts. Until then, we will continue to work together and fight the disease.
